What it means to be a part of the Advisory Council...

It is expected that you attend monthly Advisory Council Meetings and the Annual Retreat.  Generally the monthly Council Meetings are held the Tuesday following the monthly social from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Neighborhood Mortgage’s Conference Room.  If you cannot attend a monthly Council Meeting, contact the Principal at least 24 hours before.  The two-day, Annual Retreat is generally the first or second weekend in January each year (on a Friday/Saturday). 

It is assumed you will be a Council member for one fiscal year (January to December), with a maximum term of five years.  We request you give two months prior notice before leaving and that you assist in replacing your Chair Position. All applicants must be a WYPs member for more than one year.

It is expected you will attend as many WYPs events as reasonably possible to create excitement in membership, and to help answer questions of our members and prospective members.

As a WYP’s Council Member, you play an integral role in bringing businesses together and facilitating the connections that are created in our community.  This is a volunteer position.  Plan to spend at a minimum, 10 hours per month planning WYPs events, attending events or general administrative work to help further the WYP’s mission. 

Council members will have their contact information featured on the website and get a complimentary ad on the website during their term.
