What are the WYPs made of?           

HISTORY
The Whatcom Young Professionals was created and officially launched in 2006 out of the idea that young professionals and people new to business in the Whatcom County area needed fresh new ways in which to connect and grow successfully within our community.  Jessica McCaslin and Jodie Beatty with the help of former development director Pat Rowe, developed and organized a series of regular monthly networking events based around this need.  These events quickly evolved into a division of the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce: The WYPS.  Since 2006, The WYPs have become much more than just a networking group.  In addition to the ever changing spectrum of networking events, we now offer marketing opportunities to get the word out and showcase your business, service opportunities to give back to the community, and various opportunities to increase leadership and team building skills.

MISSION
The WYPs mission is to provide a forum for young professionals to develop and strengthen business relationships, and make a positive difference in the business community.
