WYPs SOCIAL- EVENT SPONSORSHIP
Thank you for inquiring about hosting a WYPs EVENT. These gatherings are very popular networking events with an attendance of young professional business people looking to network with other young professionals. These informal after hours networking events allow young professionals to build business relationships in a fun, social setting.
This monthly event is traditionally held the fourth Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. We will promote the event via Chamber E-Newsletter, event announcements, email broadcasts and at the Morning Buzz for $200 for WYPs members, $400 for non members (to be paid to the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber 90 days in advance of the event). Any other incurred costs will be paid by the sponsor/ and or participants.
As host we ask that you provide the following:

Work closely with the WYPs event committee to select a venue for the event, or sponsor an event already scheduled. It is best to have the event set 2-3 months out.

If you are providing alcoholic beverages, you must obtain a banquet permit from the Washington State Liquor Store for a minimal fee. If your event is taking place at a licensed establishment no permit is necessary.

WYPs official representation must be a part of the event.
The success of your WYPs Event is increased when you:

Provide the WYPs with as much information as possible regarding your event at least 6 weeks in advance. This enables us to publicize your event to its fullest potential.

Send invitations to your customers as well as WYPs members.
